At the age of 26 I made the decision to follow my parents to Australia, having been born and educated in Ukraine. I knew too well that starting from zero is tough. However, I also knew that with the right support, faith and resilience one’s capabilities become limitless.

Today, a nation-wide reset awaits the people of Ukraine. Looking into the future, after addressing immediate humanitarian imperatives, the Ukraine Support Fund would like to focus its efforts on tackling the detrimental consequences of a years-long gap in education, happiness and well-being resulting from the consecutive impacts of the pandemic, the brutal war and resulting economic devastation.

We want to support the next generation of Ukrainians to reach their full potential by providing children and youth with unique opportunities to build healthy habits, coping strategies, resilience, growth mindsets and inclusiveness through mental health awareness and wellbeing education. In my view, these are the fundamentals necessary to help young lives flourish and a nation to rebuild.

Our fund is managed by a board of professionals of Ukrainian descent, dedicating their personal time and efforts towards a common goal - Ukrainian victory and the future prosperity of one of the most resilient democratic nations in Europe.
