Running to Save Injured Limbs in Ukraine
Today, after an exhilarating three-month journey of determination and community support, we proudly celebrate the conclusion of the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival and USF Australia’s 2023 fundraising marathon season.
With the collective power of 17 dedicated fundraisers and the generosity of 173 kind-hearted donors, we've raised an incredible $14,709 through the following events:
2023 City2Surf in August raising $1,745
2023 Sydney Marathon in September raising $10,600
2023 Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival in October raising $2,364
Every cent of this will be channelled towards procuring Bone Fixating Devices for a vital regional frontline hospital in Dnipro, situated in the east of Ukraine.
These life-saving devices are expertly crafted in Mukachevo, a city in western Ukraine, by the Ukrainian orthopaedic device manufacturer HB Ortho. As we rally behind this cause, we're not just saving limbs; we're bolstering the Ukrainian economy.
Pricing for these devices begins at just $60 USD, varying with the size required to mend the injured bone. Our goal is clear: to ensure that no one faces amputation when there's hope, and help, at hand.
